Americans seem to be obsessed with finding ways to stay healthy, yet the nation is plagued by diet-related chronic disease.  Advertisements for weight loss programs and exercise machines abound, but obesity remains a large problem, no pun intended.  It seems as if there is a piece of the puzzle missing.
